Built from the gym floor up.
4Core® didn't start in a boardroom, a lab, or a brand strategy session. It started on the way to the gym.
The Idea
One evening, driving straight from work to the gym, our founder Yusuf realised he'd forgotten his stack again. The pre-workout. The creatine. The protein. The electrolytes. Each one bought separately. Mixed separately. Remembered separately. Forgotten separately.
He sat in the car and asked the question every gym-goer has asked at some point but no one had properly answered:
Why isn't there just one product that does all of this?
Not a watered-down hybrid. Not a protein shake with a bit of caffeine thrown in. A real, complete, properly-dosed solution - fuel for performance, energy, recovery and hydration - in something you could grab on the way to a session and actually drink.
That question became 4Core.
The Founder
Yusuf Faisal is the founder of 4Core.
An economist by training (BA Economics, Nottingham Business School) and a Level 3 qualified Personal Trainer, he's spent years on both sides of the equation - the spreadsheet and the squat rack. He understands the unit economics of a supplement aisle and the reality of trying to remember four different scoops at 6am on a Tuesday.
That dual lens is why 4Core exists in the form it does: a product built around how people actually train and live, not how supplement brands wish they would.
He didn't set out to build another energy drink. He set out to fix the friction that was costing him, and millions of people like him, time, money, consistency and results.
The advisory board he assembled - industry veterans from Monster, Red Bull, Coca-Cola and Peroni - agreed. The convergence product hadn't been built yet. So he built it.
The Mission
We exist to do one thing properly: eliminate the friction between you and your training.
No more juggling. No more half-empty tubs. No more guessing whether you've taken enough of what, when. One can. Every angle covered. Clinically dosed. Made in the UK.
That's the product. But it's not the whole story.
The Foundation
When you've worked in fitness and sport long enough, you notice something uncomfortable: the young people who'd benefit most from sport are the ones least likely to access it. Equipment costs money. Memberships cost money. Coaching costs money. Performance nutrition - the stuff that actually helps a young athlete recover, train harder and stay in the game - costs even more.
For a lot of young people in the UK, that's where the journey ends before it starts.
We didn't want to build a brand that just talked about performance. We wanted to build one that gave it back.
So we've created the 4Core Foundation - a Community Interest Company (CIC) funded directly by the product. Every can sold contributes to the Foundation. No marketing gimmick, no rounding up at checkout, no opt-in pop-up. It's baked into the unit economics of every single sale.
The 4Core Fuel Up Programme
The Foundation's flagship initiative is the Fuel Up Programme - quarterly product donations to grassroots youth sports teams across the UK. Football clubs, rugby academies, athletics groups, boxing gyms, youth groups - the places where the next generation of athletes are being built, often on shoestring budgets.
We don't see this as charity. We see it as the rest of the product.
Because if 4Core is about removing the friction between people and their training, that mission shouldn't stop at the people who can already afford it.
Every can you buy fuels someone else's training too.
That's the whole point.
